“‘I’ve never touched a laptop before.’ This is the sentence with which many of our digital skills courses begin.
And it is also the reason we run them.
In July, in Daneți, we completed the first two groups of digital skills training within the INES project. Participants of all ages, from young people to those approaching retirement, started from scratch: how to turn on a computer, how to write a document, how to search for information, how to fill in an online form — things you simply cannot do without today if you want to schedule a medical appointment or submit an application to the local town hall.
Digital skills are no longer an advantage. They are the minimum requirement for being able to manage on your own.
Each participant received a certificate of completion. The INES project is training a total of 400 people across the Dolj–Vidin–Montana region, half of them in digital skills.
Do you have people in your community who could benefit from such a course? Write to us at mpe@mpe.ro and we will organize a group there.
Project co-financed by the European Union through the Interreg VI-A Romania–Bulgaria Programme, code ROBG00226.”
